This is how Jesús Cortés describes his love affair with flamenco. This Sevillian, National Dance Award winner and a leading figure of the new flamenco, has performed in flamenco venues across the globe, in front of major personalities such as the Spanish Royal Family, the Prince of England, Julio Iglesias, Oprah Winfrey, and Dolce & Gabbana.

Cortés was born into a family full of artists, and by the age of six, he was already on stage.

He was part of the Teresa Guerra Company but eventually branched out on his own, founding his own dance company and school, with which he has performed across multiple continents.

He is also renowned for his artistry in choreographing dances that blend flamenco’s roots with jazz and soul, creating innovative shows that are regularly presented at El Patio Andaluz.
